DR LIVIA ZAHARIA established Zaharia Chiropractic in 2010 with her brother. Dr. Livia is passionate about working with families. She has years of experience working with pregnant mothers, infants, and children and is excited to educate healthy living starting at a young age.
For as long as Dr. Livia can remember, she has been going for regular chiropractic adju
stments. Growing up in an environment that was very supportive of chiropractic care, Dr. Livia
learned a lot about natural healing and witnessed how chiropractic impacted her own life as well as the
lives of her family and friends. While in high school, she decided to
become a chiropractor, so after graduating from Springfield Collegiate Institute, she studied Biology and Psychology at the University of Winnipeg, Dr. Livia completed her Bachelor of Arts degree in 2004 before heading off to chiropractic
college in Minnesota. Dr Livia graduated in 2008 with her Doctorate of Chiropractic from Northwestern Health Sciences University in Minnesota.
Dr. Livia is Advanced Proficiency rated with the Activator Methods technique and is currently pursuing a post-graduate wellness certification course through the International Chiropractic Association (ICA). The ICA Council on Wellness Science awards the C.C.W.P. (Certified Chiropractic Wellness Practitioner) Certification. The focus of the program is to provide up to date scientific evidence on Chiropractic care and wellness lifestyle choices (nutrition, exercise, and mental health), to become an expert in the field of wellness.
Outside the office, Dr Livia enjoys spending time with her husband Brendan and their daughter Bellatrix and their son Fitzwilliam. She is passionate about learning to create healthy, tasty paleo-inspired meals the whole family can enjoy. As well, they have fun swimming, going for walks, and taking Bellatrix to play at the park.
